Scrapbooking Inspiration - Barista by Basic Grey

Green Tara as a wholesaler of lovely ribbons, flowers and embellishments, cater to a variety of businesses. Many of our customers use our products to complement scrapbooking ranges in classes or kits. We thought that we would tweak our colour inspiration by matching our products to some recent releases from scrapbook paper companies. 

In coming weeks we will do the same for popular cake themes (for our cake decorators) and on trend wedding/celebration colour themes for our florists and invitation makers.

We start off with Basic Grey - Barista. This colour combination is popular at the moment and appears in a number of other scrapbook company ranges:

Colour Inspiration - Boys Own

Just because we deal with flowers and ribbons and other pretty things does not mean that our products cannot be masculine...it's all about how the colours are bought together and here is one example using our vertical stripe double sided satin ribbons in gunmetal,ivory, midnight blue, olive and latte with our new burlap leaves and string edged burlap flowers:

Lollipop, lollipop

Our long awaited shipment of new ribbons has finally arrived! We will post pictures of them as soon as they have been unpacked, but for your viewing pleasure until then, here are some examples of how our Lollipop flowers can be used.

We've taken the hard work out of making satin circle flowers and have a lovely range of colours available: white, ivory, purple, red and black. Each consists of a stack of circles finished off with a centre of beads:

Shiny Petals

A Work In Progress

 Peta has "blinged up" these petals by embossing them:
" I like the colour of these petals but wanted them a bit darker, so wiped versamark ink over them and embossed them with clear embossing powder that had sparkle in it. That gave them a lovely gloss and a slightly darker colour which set off the pink pearl stamens. I combined them with the large green leaves to tone down all the pink and cream and folder over the 10cm petal to make a bloom and added the silk and Swarovski crystal flowers and the satin rosette to make a nice little cluster."
