Kelly's November Inspiration

A Wonderful Day

Good day!! Kelly here, my turn to share a bit of inspiration with you,
using all sorts of Green Tara goodies!
Up first, this one featuring my oldest, Lilah.

I wanted to stick to a mostly cool toned page, but once I decided to
accent with that beautiful Burgundy Laurel flower, I knew it was perfect!
I then tucked in some of those stunning Maple Leaves,
and some lovely Apple Blossoms, too.

If you look closely, above and below you can see some
delicate and beautiful lace tucked under my paper strips.
Such a beautiful way to add
a bit of texture, don't you think?

You Are Such A Blessing

Up next, this one features my other beautiful little girl, Paisley.
I had a lot of fun using various ribbons and lace to create a
messy mixed media background on this one. I used that beautiful
Lime Satin Edged Organza, and some lovely lace pressed into
a thick layer of gesso and paper strips.

I chose some lovely blue and teal colored flowers to go with my photo.
The star of the show here is the gorgeous Heirloom Silk and Organza
flower in Teal, love it! There are also some apple blossoms, roses
and a cherry blossom clustered in there among those lush velvet leaves.

Two Extremes....Vintage & Modern
By Di Garling

Hello everyone. Thanks for calling by the blog.
Today I have three layouts to show you with lots of yummy
Green Tara goodies.
Firstly I have this vintage layout to share, called
"Those were the Days".

For the top flower cluster I have used one of the new
Satin Rosettes in a beautiful sage colour & it has a pearl centre.
I have teamed it with a small Ivory rose.
I love this sage colour, it is so elegant.

For my bottom cluster I have used another one of our NEW flowers,
this one is called a  Primula. It is a black/grey with a hint of green.
Just a perfect vintage colour.

I have used four different beautiful Green Tara trims here,
all in Ivory. I have actually woven them in the corner but when
I put my flower cluster on I covered the weaving up!!!
That wasn't very bright was it?
I've used lace, a gorgeous satin Bud N Bow trim &
the middle one on the  left is actually a self adhesive one.
Too easy. Also I just love this little twisted pearl one.
We really are so spoilt for choice here at Green Tara.
I have listed all the names of all of these products at the
bottom of my post. Scroll down to see them.

All of these beautiful chipboard pieces I have used are from
2 Crafty chipboard of course.

For my next layout I have stepped waaaay way outside of my
comfort zone & done a modern/minimilist layout called
"The Magic of You"

Now for those of you that are  familiar with my work,
you will know what I mean, I never do minimilist so I
have stepped up to the plate on this one.

Firstly I have used that new Green Tara Wired Cord that I used
a couple of months ago, that I made the wreath with. I have just
twisted & curled it around an awl until I was happy with the shape.
It kind of reminds me of 3D doodling!!!
I'm really happy with how this cord turned out,
just something a little different.

I have also added Silver Stems in peacock blue which I have
broken up into several pieces & scattered here & there.
Next I added some purple Skeleton Leaves to highlight the wings.

Here I have used another one of the many Green Tara ribbons,
this beautiful Shimmer Threaded Ribbon in a midnight blue.
This is the most gorgeous ribbon. I love love love it.
Midnight blue teamed with purple, a match made in heaven.

I have also used some of our beautiful new fabric flowers,
the Primula & Heirloom flowers, both in purple
& a few little roses thrown in for good measure.

In my top flower cluster I have used another piece of my
Twisted Cord as well as a Sakura flower & another
of our new flowers, the purple one is called a
 Lollipop flower.

In this photo you can see a close up of one of our sweet little
Rainforest Butterflies in Lavender with a few
roses which I misted to get the correct colour
& finally some mini flowers scattered around.

"Dream"

This was a layout I did months ago, some of you may have seen it way
back then, but I am in the habbit lately of changing things!!!
When Green Tara got their latest release of NEW flowers,
as soom as I saw these little Primulas in this lovely soft
green, I took off the ones I previously had on there & popped
these ones on instead. They really look much better!!!
Well I think they do.

I have also used some gorgeous lime Bud N Bow trim as well as one
of the many Green Tara laces.
This beautiful pink flower is one called Heirloom, these comes in
lots of gorgeous colours. I have also used lots of Roses as well as
some little Rosebuds tucked in here & there.
In the tear of the paper I have also use a Flower Spray in white
& I misted it in green to match my layout. I have also curled
all of its stems to make it more realistic.

On some of the  Roses I have give them a coat of "Diamond Dust"
just to glam them up a little.
Again all of my chipboard is from 2 Crafty Chipboard.

Lots of stencilling & misting on my background to create
a backdrop as well as lots of distressing to finish off with.

Well thats all from me today. I hope I have inspired you a
little, to use some fabulous Green Tara flowers & trims on
your next project.

Green Tara Goodies with Shona

Hi everyone and welcome to Green Tara. Shona here and today
I have 3 layouts to share using so much yummy Green Tara goodies
on them. My first layout is my new grandson and it is  called
“Perfect”. Lots of masking, distressing and Green Tara products
finished off this layout perfectly. I just love how the flowers,
lace, leaves and ribbon just all go so perfectly together.

For the main flower cluster I have used the
New Heirloom silk and organza flowers, and
then I  tucked in some cherry blossoms and roses.
I have also used some skeleton leaves.

I have framed the photo with a fun Dusty Attic chippy swirl and added
a Green Tara paper string bow to it. I love this paper string
it just forms and stays in place perfectly! I have also misted
some yummy Green Tara lace and tucked in pieces here and there.

Here is the smaller cluster and I have added touches of
 gesso to some flowers.

************************

My next layout is called “Art” and this is a photo of some weird statues
I saw  when I was on a wine tour this summer.
I thought they were pretty cool.
Lots of masking, stitching, distressing and
 background work on this layout.

For the main cluster I have used the
new Damask fabric and organza flower…so so yummy!
I then tucked in lots of Green Tara smaller flowers and added touches
of gesso to them. Just look at how adorable those mini rosebuds are.

There is lots of mixed media in the background and I added
strips of some gorgeous Green Tara lace as I was doing the
background. I finished it all off with a
 Green Tara paper string bow

EXPRESSION OF COLOR by HEATHER

'ART'

Hi everyone my turn today here at GREEN TARA.
I built this layout around one of my fave stamps .

'As long as we have memories,
YESTERDAY remains.
As long as we have hope,
TOMORROW  awaits,
As long as we have ART,
TODAY is wonderful'

I'D LIKE TO EXPLAIN A LITTLE BIT
ABOUT  THE MEANING BEHIND THIS PAGE
As I am becoming older I feel more comfortable with
who I am . When I looked at my completed page I noticed
the connecting thread of the colors,
art brings all parts of me together,
the healer, my inner child, the warrior,
my professional self, my nurturing side,
 and my passionate self.
Art to me is an expression  of color and
design reflecting my inner self.
My mind body and soul .
Each color has its own meaning and energy

Green/ balance
 Yellow / communication
Pink/ compassion
 White /actualising
Black / strength.

I have journalled these words on the back of my layout
 for future reading and reflection.

Pink Roses, pink rose buds, white flower sprays,
deep pink and pink cherry blossoms mixed with green leaves .

Pink and green are such beautiful complimentary colors
and these blooms showcase them perfectly
