Same photo 3 ways buy Susan Longman

Hi, it is Susan Longman here again. With Mothers Day why not create a personal gift. I have used the same family photo for a shoot we had and created 3 different layouts with it.

For my first layout (and my Mums favourite) I have used an old favourite… the rainbow.

For the background I have used a combination of misting and Washi tapes to create the rainbow base.

I then topped that with some chipboard items coloured up to coordinate.

I have then added clusters of the Green Tara flowers and ribbons to finish the overall look.

“Fell in Love” layout by Susan Longman

For this version I wanted to do the extreme opposite to the colourful rainbow layout before so I have gone for a monochromatic cream palette.

I included the gorgeous natural textures of the gorgeous hemp ribbon and clusters of gorgeous cream flowers.

It’s Susan Longman here again today to share with 3 layouts I created using the products I had left on my desk. My challenge today was to create 3 looks using essentially the same items on each page ( a few variations obviously thrown in).

I hit the big 4 0 this January gone and wanted to create a page about how I am mentally at this age. I found this great quote that pretty much sums up me at the moment so used it as the basis of my layout.

I love to use flowers and have created one of the layered clusters that invariably finds its way onto one of my layouts.

I have to say I am a huge fan of out-take photos… as I believe they capture the true personality of a subject. In this layout I have used a photo that shows my daughters “crazy” eyes and her cheeky fun side.

Again on this layout I have clustered the same gorgeous Green Tara flowers popping out of the handmade envelope and then added some chipboard and flair buttons for interest.

Susan’s February layouts

Hi, Susan Longman here with you today to share 3 layouts I have created this week using the gorgeous flowers and ribbons from Green Tara.

“LOVE” layout by Susan Longman

For this layout I have used a combination of 3cm White Roses, 1.5cm Roses Mint, 1.5cm Roses White and 1 cm Roses Pale Pink as “fillers” amongst the other gorgeous flowers in the cluster.

The cluster at the top of the page features the gorgeous 20mm Herringbone Peachy Pink (20m roll) ribbon and the 3 Flower Sprays White.

For this layout I have allowed the background effect to dictate the colour choice of the flowers. To create the cluster I have layered up a mixture of fabric flowers and mini roses and added cute satin bow.

For this layout I layered up the gorgeous mix of flowers (listed below in products used) and some 2Crafty chipboard. I have to admit I am a sucker for a good title and this one sums up my daughter to a tee.

I simple satin edged organza ribbon can work wonders in a flower cluster and is my “go to” ribbon for feminine layouts.

Summery Colours by Susan Longman

Hi, Susan Longman sharing today for you. I have been a little inspired by the gorgeous
 summery colours on show in the garden at the moment so I have used gorgeous
 yellows and pinks in my first layout.

TIP: When scrapping smaller photos keep you flowers small too. If you have larger
ones you want to include cut them in half and use them as the bottom layer.
