Love is in the Air with Jelissa

Hello wonderful readers! How was your month so far? Thanks for dropping by
the Green Tara blog today.  I've got a few altered items to share with you.

As we all know, February is the month of love and what better way to celebrate
love than a wonderful wedding! I created the following projects for a lovely
couple who are getting married using loads of Green Tara goodies.

"Ring Pillow"

The bride wants a rustic mint-green wedding and didn't like the original ring pillow
that came with the jewellery so I tore out the old stuff and replaced them with some
Gold Mesh ribbon, layered with Burlap and Glitter Organza Hearts ribbons.
I topped it up with a bow made from the Double-sided Vertical Stripe Satin ribbon
and a Wild Rose to finish off the ensemble.

"Flower Crown"

I made this flower crown from scratch and wove the flowers into the skeleton.
The Apple Blossoms were painted with water-colors and clustered together
with Mini Roses, Calla Lillies and bits of a snipped up Flower Spray. To secure
the crown on the head, I've added a Satin Leaf Garland ribbon.

"Altered Bicycle and Mason Jars"

These are my personal favourites because I've such a soft spot for mason jars
 and quaint little bicycles.

For the jars, I first used a layer of Gold Mesh ribbon before layering them with
either the Natural Jute Ribbon or the Off-White Flower Lace. I misted the large
White Flower Lace with mint green spray and used it as a piece for the
Heirloom flowers, which I painted the centre using the same mint green spray.
I also used the Silk Flowers with Crystal and Mini Rose to highlight the jars.

I found this wire bicycle in a stationary shop and knew I had to alter it.
For the cluster, I layered the Natural Jute Ribbon, the Herringbone Ribbon,
White Flower and Off-White Flower Laces, Pearl Trim and the Satin Leaf Garland.
