"Fairy Princess"
I'm obviously in a very bright and girly mood this month with penchant for pink
and teal! I had the idea for this first layout when I was creating an art journal
page inspired by the colours and patterns on Indian sari fabric. It seemed like
a good choice for these bright and happy photos of my daughter, Holly. The
organza and velvet layers on the blooms and butterfly, echo the fabric in her
costume. I attached two different white pieces of Lace Ribbon to either side
of my handmade pattered paper before adding my embellishments to the page.
For my flower cluster I began with a pretty Green and White Blossom Vine,
then added a mustard Damask Flower as the focal point. Also included are
a dusty pink Heirloom Flower and a white Apple Blossom (both enhanced
with Distress markers and water), and a few Velvet Leaves.
This beautiful Rainforest Butterfly has been sitting in my stash since
my DT package first arrived a few months ago, just waiting for the right
project. I think it's perfect for this layout. I'm not normally a very blingy
scrapper but I just love the extra bit of pizzazz it gives to this page.

"Love You As Big As The Sky"
This was a fun page to create around a much loved photo of Holly
and me taken on Mother's Day last year. Layered on the paper
strips below the photo you will notice some pretty Green Tara
Washi Tapes which are always a fun addition to projects. The
cream Lace Ribbon is also one of my favourites.
This cluster was based around a gorgeous dusty pink Poppy.
I love how delicate and feminine they are. I've also added a
pink Azalea and cream Tutu flower, with some gold Skeleton
Leaves tucked underneath.

"Little Girl, Big Personality"
In my third layout I tried to capture the sunny disposition of my
little girl. What better way to do that than with pretty flowers?
I've also run a length of white Polka Dot Organza Ribbon
across the top of the layout to add to the whimsical feel.
Again on this layout I've used a pink Heirloom flower teamed
with an Azalea (coloured with Distress marker). I like the
combination of textures of the satin and organza next to the
mulberry paper. A Cherry Blossom and Rose finish off
this little cluster, which has been echoed on the other
side of the page to create balance.
