'Little Mama', Altered Box & Altered Mirror
By Natasha Naranjo Aguirre

'Little Mama'

Hi everyone!  My name is Natasha and I have a few projects to share with you today!  The first is a layout I made using a photo of my daughter when she was two years old.  That seems like ages ago!

Look at these lovely Green Tara flowers!  The large flower is a Damask fabric & organza flower.

The adorable blue flower is a 4cm Heirloom.  I like this smaller size!

For the title I used alpha stickers and chipboard letters and adhered them to a die cut banner.

These are lovely gardenias and roses.
You can see a piece of cut lace peeking out from behind the flowers.

To create this circle border, I hand-stitched the lace to the edge of the
cut circle and then snipped in between each section of the lace.

Altered Box

I altered a plain wooden box purchased from my local craft store
and this is the end result.

I randomly adhered pieces of tissue tape to the gesso-covered box
and applied this flaky medium to certain areas.
I then used ink sprays to add color.

The sides and the back of the box are decorated with Green Tara lace.

Look at these gorgeous Green Tara flowers!  I love how well they combine!
I used a mixture of Gardenias, Roses and Apple Blossoms.
I also added cut pieces of gorgeous lace and an
acrylic/pearl spray also by Green Tara.

Different types of chipboard elements by The Dusty Attic
were used to decorate the box as well.

Altered Mirror

I had way too much fun altering this mirror!!
(I covered the mirrored section with vellum so that my reflection didn't end up in the photo.)
This wooden mirror is an inexpensive mirror from IKEA.
It is perfect for altering because it has a wide, unfinished surface.

This gorgeous texture was created by using Green Tara's cobweb ribbon!
I adhered the ribbon to the mirror and applied gesso.
Then I applied ceramic stucco to the entire surface.

I proceeded by gently squishing cut pieces of lace into the stucco.
Then I colored my project with several different sprays.
I adore how it turned out!

To finish off the mirror, I decorated with a Camellia flower,
 Gardenias, Cherry Blossoms and Roses.

I even added touches of Jute ribbon.
This ribbon makes such a lovely bow!

And of course I couldn't forget my chipboard!
I am a dimensional crafter so chipboard is one of my favorite products!

"Dream Big" and "Hello Gorgeous"
By Kelly Foster

Hello everyone!! Kelly here, and this is my very first post here at Green Tara and I am SO excited to be here!!!  I have a couple of layouts to share using loads of beautiful Green Tara goodies.

Here is the first one, I call "Dream Big." That's my baby girl, Paisley.

I used a lovely combination of rich browns and golds, accented with red and cream.
 So many gorgeous bits...

Here I used the awesome Paper String, stitched to my banner, and embellished
with some of the precious Mini Rosebuds, I love those things!!
I weaved them into my 2Crafty chipboard clock, and topped it of
with a beautiful white 1cm Rose.

Please see full product list below for all of these beautiful blooms.
I so enjoyed clustering them all together along with those wonderful
gold Paper Leaves, and more of the Paper String

Up next, this layout  is called "Hello, Gorgeous" and features my other little one, Lilah
.

I started out creating this background with a thick layer of gesso,
then layered over that some Lace, ribbon,
and cobweb mesh for some awesome texture.

Close up of one of the flower clusters..I dipped the edges of the flowers
and leaves first in gesso, and then in fine gold glitter
for some extra sparkle! I topped it off with a bow tied from some
of the Natural Jute Ribbon..gorgeous stuff and so versatile.

Close up of this gorgeous Silk and Organza flower in yellow..love it!

A Touch of BLING
A Hanging Bird Cage & More....
By Di Garling

"Magical Memories"

Hello everyone. It 's my turn up on the blog & I have
three different  projects to share with you.
This first layout I actually made about a year ago, but I was
never really happy with it. Soooo, I pulled everything off it
except for the chippie frame & totally re did it & now
I am finally, really happy with it.
I have gone TOTALLY OVER THE TOP
with glitz, glam & bling!!!
It is nice to go crazy once in a while with such "girly" things,
& I thought a wedding page deserved something a little special.
This fab pic is of a friends daughter & her bridesmaids.

Well as always I have done lots of layering, distressing & stamping
but I have use a couple of gorgeous Green Tara blings.
First up I used one of their
 Acrylic/Diamante Flower & Bud  Sprays.
These are just sooo glam, love them.

The other piece of Bling I used was another fab piece from
Green Tara called, a Crystal Teardrop Spray.
When I use these I always break them into about six little individual
Crystal Sprays & just tuck them in here & there amongst
my flower clusters. These come in several pastel colours.
I have used a clear one here.

I have also used lots & lots of the Green Tara Roses in
three different sizes & three different colours.
These Roses come in so many different colours
& different sizes too. I just love these, can't get enough of them.

In the photo above you can see a beautiful
Green Tara Lace tucked in underneath the photo.
They have so many laces, we really are spoilt for choice.

All of my pink & aqua Roses I have added a little gold paint to
the petals to add to my touch of glamour.
I have also used lots of Green Tara Daisies as well as some of
their  Flower Sprays.
(which is actually a wired spray of daisies)
I painted all of the Daisy centres in gold too,
to keep in with the whole glam theme.

I have also tucked  some sweet little
Green Tara Velvet Leaves in
here & there. These little Velvet Leaves are great because they
are actually wired , so you can bend & push them however
you like & they stay put.

All of this beautiful chipboard on these layouts, including this big
Flowery Swirl Frame & both my words are from
I used a Medium on it to create this lovely texture &
then applied lots of metallic paints.

I hope this layout inspires you to lash out & do something over
the top girly & blingy too.

"Hanging Bird Cage"

For my second project this month I thought I would do something
a little different. Now I have to admit I don't do a lot of
"Beyong the Page" but when I saw this gorgeous "shabby"
Hanging Bird Cage, I just couldn't wait to get started.
I thought it would make a lovely present for someone special.
This project, I have to admit, was really soooooo easy.
I just got out all my white Green Tara flowers & started.
I wanted to keep it all in whites with just a "kiss of green".

Ooops, before I forget, A friend of mines hubby,
Kent Nguyen,
 photographed this for me.
I am not the best at photographing things like this,
& he is such a great local photographer.
Thanks Kent xo

I have used one of the gorgeous Green Tara ribbons, a
 "Satin Edged Organza
& I have also used some of their green "Velvet Leaves".
Apart from those two things, I kept everything else white.
The large white flower you see on the left is the "Damask"
& the two bigger ones in the photo on the right are
"Gardenia" on top & "Sakura" underneath.
All of the others are listed below.

"Our Sweet Girl"

For my last layout this month, I thought I would show you this
one I did a couple of weeks ago for a challenge.
Some of you have probably already seen it.
I really loved it because as well as lots of yummy
Green Tara flowers, I have also used one of their
NEW ribbons. It is a 38mm wide
"Polka Dot Organza" Ribbon.
I think this ribbon is fabulous & even though it is 38mm wide,
because it is a fine organza, it doesn't make your
layout bulky at all.

Just a little close up of some of the flowers.
The biggest one is called "Tutu". It has a little pearl in the middle &
it comes in some really beautiful colours as well.

Also used more Roses, Cherry Blossoms, Velvet Leaves & then added
a Silk Flower with a Swarovski Crystal in the middle.
All from Green Tara naturally.

Well thats all from me today.
I'll see you back here on the blog next month.

Remember to check back here regularly as the blog is
 updated every couple of days.
