"Sophie" Layout & Card
By Mistra Hoolahan

Hi everyone!  Today I played with some sweet Authentique papers from their "Beautiful" range... and the gorgeous soft colours were a perfect accompaniment for our favourite flowers and lace from Green Tara.

This is the daughter of my beautiful friend Nancy... it was taken a couple of years ago, this sweet girl is quickly growing into a gorgeous young lady, just like her mum.

paper roses and silk with swarovski crystals, framing some Dusty Attic chippy...

snippets of cute flower edged organza...

more flowers, lace and ribbons...

The white paper roses are a must have in my scrap stash... perfect as is, and also so easy to colour!  The darker pink and pale yellow flowers here were dipped into some colour washes to create colours perfect for the layout papers.  They take the colour well, and don't fall apart once saturated!

Hi again... here's the little card I made with the layout leftovers!

"Beautiful" Card
I used some of the left over papers and lace trims from the Sophie layout to create a card... it's simple but was fun to create a little card with scraps that may have ended up in the bin!

A simple 3cm paper rose was all that was needed to show of the muslin bow...

and lots of layers of paper and lace...

I love how adding the lace between the paper layers softens the whole look of the design.

Thanks for visiting... take care and be true to you!

"Cherished" Layout
Featuring Criss Crossed Ribbons
By Geraldine Pasinati

It's not always Black and White!
Hello, today I'm sharing a layout with some of the 'Newest' flowers and products available at Green Tara.
These gorgeous flowers add the perfect softness and beauty to a girly layout. I went through some old scrap albums
this week and found some stunning photo's.....oh! But with some terrible layout designs showcasing  them. I just had to do a make over & that is how this layout came to be!!

Now in case your wondering, the background cross over details are not the paper. It has been crossed over with Green Tara 3mm 'Black shimmer' ribbon. I thought this was a great idea to change my  background.

As you can see in these close up pics I have clustered some of their gorgeous NEW fabric flowers & I have also added a Silver Crystal Stem in behind the black flower, just to add some WOW factor.

Till next time! XX G!

Some More Deliciousness
By Guest Designer
Adriana Bolzon

We are so lucky today to have another fabulous post to share with you from this months "Guest  Designer", Adriana Bolzon. Thanks so much Adriana for showing us all your beautiful projects this month, using our favourite Green Tara goodies. I'm sure all our blog followers would agree that we have loved seeing your gorgeous designs.  Di x

"Rock Around The Clock"
I created this layout of my DD. The top she is wearing is one of her favourite tops, she always wants to wear it everywhere. When I received the inspirational & gorgeous goodies from Green Tara,  Black, White & Red theme goodies, I knew  the perfect photo to scrap.
Using Graphic 45 paper in red and vintage cream with a bit of Kraft cardstock,  perfect combination of colours.

I cut out a clock face from the Graphic 45 papers and glued the frill and mini tassel from Green Tara around the edges, quite effective piece of embellishment for any page.

Here is a close up of some of the fab Green Tara flowers I have used. I have also used some of the Flowers Sprays, Paper & fabric leaves as well as Crystal & Pearl Butterfly Sprays.
Just love the richness of these colours. If you look closely you can see the lovely Green Tara ribbons & trims aloing the bottom of the layout.

As well I  created a tag using Mulberry papers also from Green Tara.
I covered the whole tag with the black paper and made a tassel edge
on the  bottom of paper with the red papers. This would go really nice on the front of a card or perhaps as a main embellishment on a layout.

Thanks Green Tara for this awesome opportunity to play with such fabulous goodies, I have enjoyed  this month creating for you and your many followers.
I hope I have inspired you all.
Cheers Adriana

"Sweet Girl" Layout & Card
By Di Garling

Hello Green Tara fans. Thanks for stopping by.  Today I would like to share a layout & a card I have made using lots of yummy, you guessed it, Green Tara goodies. I have also used lots of  beautiful chipboard pieces from 2 Crafty as well.

I have used various sizes of the Green Tara RosesMini Rosebuds,  in both purple & aqua  as well as some sweet little Cherry Blossoms. Next I have used my current favourite Flower Sprays in Aqua. If you  click HERE you will see my "Tips & Tricks" of how I twist & curl these to make them look really nice. They are a really good, well priced flower option as they really do fill up a good space without costing the earth & they come in soooo many different colours too. There is three in a pack. I have used two down the right side of the page & I folded the third one in half to make it more compact. If you haven't tried these out before & I suggest you grab some & give them a try. You won't be disappointed!!! Lastly in my cluster I have used some of these great
Green Tara Skeleton Leaves.

In this photo you can see I have tied a bow with the lovely 25mm Coloured Jute Ribbon. This ribbon makes such a beautiful bow & it is very soft so it is not too bulky either.

While I had all my things out I thought I would make a card out of all the left overs. Again I used Green Tara Gardenias, Roses, Mini Rosebuds, Velvet Leaves  & a couple of  different Green Tara ribbons & one of their NEW laces as well as some 2 Crafty Card Greetings & a  Butterfly.

Layout, Card & Headband
By Jan Rankine

This photo of a friend’s little girl inspired me to do something really colourful and these orange petals, combined with black and white with a touch of yellow and green just felt right. I love this beautiful spotted ribbon from Green Tara, it adds impact to the layout & really pops off the page.

I used green Bud’n Bow ribbon instead of leaves and I think it looks really good. These orange flowers are just the flat petals, moistened & scrunched up, you would hardly recognise them.

I liked this colour scheme so much  I decided to make a card as well.
This great little chippie Birdcage & Birthday greeting are both from
2 Crafty Chipboard. . These little Green Tara flowers are just perfect on a card.

Decorating a headband was a challenge set  by  Allison  who owns Green Tara. I thought why not keep the colour scheme  going.  I’ve twisted the stems of the yellow Flower Sprays to wire them onto the beadband & teamed them with some other Green Tara petals & little rose in the middle.

Layout, Card & Treat Box
By Vicky Alberto

"Home is Where the Heart Is"

I have been so busy this month but had to sneak some time to play with the new "For Mother" collection from Pion Design and fabulous Green Tara goodies I received. I was given a pink and white/cream themed design team "challenge pack" from Green Tara to work with (pink is my fave color to scrap - thank you Alison!) and combined everything with the Once Upon a Sketch challenge for April too -
I just loved Nadia's sketch last month!

This is my daughter as a baby in our backyard wearing her favorite outfit at the time (I have a lot of pictures with her wearing this, LOL). Don't you just love the printed doily pattern on that paper? I enhanced it by using a Martha Stewart corner punch on the edge. The chipboard rose vine is from Dusty Attic.

"Life is Beautiful" Card
You can never have enough blank cards for all those unexpected occasions that seem to just pop up. Here I used the Meg's Garden "Forget Me Not" paper collection which includes some amazing vintage image elements sheets - this is a card maker's dream. Combined with a 4x12 paper strip from the collection, it is easy to pull together an elegant card. I added some gorgeous Green Tara cherry blossoms, twisted organza/pearl trim and tassel trim, plus a stamped title and a pull tag... to really polish things off.

"Treat Box"

I modified my own template from my gingerbread house box that I made for Christmas and came up with this cute little birdhouse box and the roof is actually a card! The box is made of one 12x12 sheet of paper from the brand new "Forget Me Not" collection from Meg's Garden.  Here I used Green Tara cherry blossoms, paper leaves, lace and trim. The bird was cut out of another paper from the collection and I watercolored it blue to match and added feathers. Thanks for taking a peek today. All of my tutorials are listed as quick links on the right side of my blog at http://simplypaperandcreativity.blogspot.ca

Thanks for taking the time to visit the blog today!

"Snow Girl" by JJ Sobey

"I wanted to use these yummy Green Tara flowers and trims, so I went looking for photos that worked with the colours, and turns out my daughter's snow suit was just the right thing!  Mix in a few snow flakes and winter papers, and why not flowers on a girlie snow page?  Precisely.

This cobweb trim is really growing on me - the more I use it, the more I like it.  The texture really makes me happy.  Here, you see it layered with some Wave Ribbon.

I twisted the sequin trim into flourishes, because why use just a straight line when you can have a curve?

You may notice a few of the petals flowers tucked in around my page.  Because these flowers are relatively flat (in comparison with some of the others), you can use them as layering elements, tucking them under the edge of photos and papers...

and using them to add a little more oomph to non-floral embellishments, like this snowflake."

Pigs Might Fly!!!
Hello everyone, today I want to show you  this card to show one of the fun ways you can use the
 "Petals"  from Green Tara.

These flowers started out white, but I wanted them to match my paper, so I tinted them with glimmer mist, and voilà - easy customization.  I then cut them in half, and tucked them under the edge of the ribbon, for a flowery border.

Oh my goodness - these new crinkle organza ribbons are so pretty, and I'm delighted with this particular shade - it's a perfect match for some of the aquas in current paper collections."

TIPS & TRICKS
Chipboard Doily Instructions
Choose a chipboard doily or shape paint the outside edge cover the inside with pva glue and attach your ribbon of choice. I have used both the 22mm & 9mm vertical stripe ribbon. This helps to create the perfect matching embellishment.
Green Tara Petals with a twist
Take your choice of petals I have used 10cm for the outside and 7cm for the inside and fold them in half then in quarters, gluing them in position as you go. Pinch or crumple the petals to give them more texture and pop the smaller petals inside the larger petal gluing then in place. Finish of by joining the flowers together and popping a folded 4cm flower to create a centre along with a cherry blossom.
HEADBAND
Before I list products I just wanted to thank my model, a Barbie doll makeup head became my backup after my first model quit when I wouldn't let her eat the end result - well she is only 10mths old so I guess I will have to forgive.

Copper paper leaves 3.5cm CODE: LA15C

Satin frill in white CODE: RB436Wh
Headband Tutorial
First I attached the satin frill ribbon to the headband using a hot glue gun, Then choosing my flowers and embellishments I went about gluing them into place. The leaves have been bent to make them look real. I cut the small bead parts of the silver spray and just used these. The butterfly on a wire ribbon was cut to make individual butterfly ribbons, I left a small amount of wire on each end so the ribbon did not fall off and folded each wire end over to also help keep the ribbon on the wire. The flower sprays have been inked to create a 2 tone flower and just a single flower was used here and there. Everything was the covered in glitter, what little girl wouldn't  love glitter?  The headband is elegant enough to use for a flower girl etc and pretty enough for a child to wear.

"One Perfect Photo" by Mistra Hoolahan

I have another layout to share today using one of my not so perfect photos!  Another of when my lovely friend Michelle came to visit.  This tragic self portrait was taken at night, using the front camera on the phone so it's as low res as you can get and I LOVE it to bits... because of the fun and smiles we shared together

I've chose soft papers in gorgeous peach tones to try and accentuate the photo as much as I could... and naturally Green Tara had the perfect colours just waiting to be used!
I love the cute and funky little Sakura Fabric Flower...
and of course the delicate and whimsical Heirloom...
I've tucked in some of the lovely new velvet leaves and some roses... so sweet!

Thanks for visiting, take care and be true to you.
