Two Layouts & A Tag
Featuring Paper Flowers
By Kim Price

Hi everyone! I'm back again today to share some more of my Green Tara creations - this time featuring some handmade flowers using some gorgeously simple paper flowers and some of the NEW stamens. I love how easy these are to create and the stamens really do give your flowers that professional looking finish.

In this first layout I have created the large bloom by layering two Green Tara paper flowers, adhering them together then adding another generous dot of glue to the centre. I then trimmed my stamens down and placed them in a circular pattern as shown in the above photograph. All that is left to do is add a tiny Green Tara rose to the centre and you are finished! It couldn't be quicker or easier! I repeated the same routine for my second flower using just one layer.

For my finishing touches I have used two adorable little silver flower sprays, a clear acrylic flower spray and some coordinating silver leaves.

Green Tara Materials Used:

Stamens 60mm White Pearl - ST048Wh
5cm Petals White - PFLP07
7cm Petals White - FDS021Wh
23cm Silver/Acrylic Teardrop Spray - XB30526
Christmas Bouquet Silver 10cm - TBX022
Silver Leaves 3cm - XL266SP

For my second project I chose to create a tag using bright and happy colours to best show off these amazing red Green Tara blooms and lime green coloured wire trim. These colours really work well together to create that WOW factor.

I've also hand dyed some Green Tara lace in an aqua shade to coordinate with my tag and tucked small pieces between my layers for a fun whimsical and tattered look. You can easily add colour to most of the Green Tara trims with any of the mists you might already have on hand - just remember they won't be water safe as mists will re-activate when you add water to them, but this is a great way to add a little extra colour to your papercrafts.

Green Tara Materials Used:

3 Layer Gardenia Red - FDV054R
Cherry Blossoms Red - FLC22R
Flower Spray Red - PFSTR
3cm Green Velvet Leaves - XL266GrP
2cm Roses Red - FDR006R
1.5cm Flower Red - FDVR
Organza Butterfly On Wire Lime Green - RB6764LG
1cm Lace Off White - L3077OW
1cm Lace Off White - L2897OW
3mm Suede Cord Red - RB761R

I have created this layout again using paper flowers and ribbon from Green Tara. In the top right corner I have used a piece of white lattice ribbon adding some fabulous texture behind my cluster  of tiny paper flowers. The yellow gold flower spray placed beneath my main photographs helps to draw your eye to the centre of the layout and the main focal point - a great way to create drama but keep things simple at the same time.

Your plain paper flower can be layered together to coordinate with your project or even painted and transformed into something amazing as I have done here by adding a bright gold/yellow shade to some plain white paper gerberas. Finish your flowers off with some tiny paper roses or some of the new flower stamens!
