Cuckoo Clock, A Layout and A Tag!
By Kim Price

Has it been a month already? Time really gets away doesn't it! And with that it's my turn once again to share some Green Tara yummies and show you a little of what I have been up to these past few weeks.

I have had lots of fun altering an old cuckoo clock rescued from a junk shop. This piece really was in bad shape, and I picked it up for next to nothing (bargain!), but the housing was perfect for this sweet little project I had in mind for it. After pulling it apart I sealed it with an undercoat, added a layer of printed tissue paper and then painted it up using a soft feminine palette.

When it had dried I then went about adding lots of Green Tara flowers, some leaves and a touch of lace. I have also used some of the new wire cord around the opening where the clock face used to be! It reminds me a little of a birds nest, don't you think? So sweet.

I just love these little butterflies.
They add such a beautiful touch to a project.

A gorgeous mix of Green Tara flowers clustered together
 always look amazing.

My second project is a layout I created using a photograph of my eldest daughter when she was just four years old. She is almost 20 now but I remember taking this photo of her and the wizard when we were visiting Dreamworld. I just love the combination of yellow and purple shades and I had loads of fun creating this layout.

Using lots of Green Tara flowers and leaves I created a frame for my photo along with a gorgeous sequinned butterfly - and  I just couldn't help myself but to pop a tiny paper rose in the centre!

These purple velvet leaves are absolutely perfect combined with the rich
deep purple of the small Heirloom flower.

Yellow and purple roses to compliment a lilac Gardenia.

And a small batik sunset Aster.

And lastly I have created a vintage style tag using pink and burgundy hues. This looks absolutely stunning measuring 10cm x 19cm and featuring the large Laurel Silk and Organza bloom along with some Green Tara lace which I hand dyed with mist to match the palette of my tag.

In this photo you can see the lace peeking out from beneath the white Sakura flower.

A few burgundy velvet leaves and roses coordinate perfectly
with the rest of the tag.
