Today is a sad day for me, after being on the Green Tara DT for almost 4yrs it is time for me to say my farewells, I would have loved to have stayed on but want to take the rest of this year off from DT commitments to enjoy my family & work on a few other adventures.
I have enjoyed every second of my time with Green Tara, the products are amazing to work with and are my go to product all the time. I wanted to say a huge thank you to Alison and Mark for having me on the team you guys are amazing with all that you do, along with all my fellow DT members both past and present I have enjoyed working with you all, you are all a very talented group.
So for my last post I wanted to share my 3 favourite
Green Tara projects with you.

“Building The Family Castle”
Welcome this time around I thought I would bring a little summer into our Spring. I spotted these wonderful little beach themed charms from Green Tara & had to do something with them.
I painted the charms white and once dry sanded some of the paint off leaving the indentations with paint it gave them a more worn and weathered look.
Taking the Natural Jute ribbon I made a bow, I snipped the ends with scissors and then used my fingers to lightly fray the ends and added some white paint to age it a little.
I choose 2 colours in the cobweb ribbon and instead of cutting it I just ripped it apart this helped to fray the edges and give me random sized pieces. I used a texture paste with sand as the base on the page and pushed the pieces of cobweb ribbon into the texture paste here and there leaving some sticking up while others lay flat.
I wanted a big yellow flower but I didn’t have one so I used a mustard Damask flower from the new range and added some white paint to soften it a little as the gold didn’t quite work. Using a selection of other flowers including 7cm petals, roses & spring flowers adding a little white paint to the darker coloured flowers.
Adding a little string finished off the top of the page and a few random mini flowers thru the page.

"Bubble Fun"
I wanted to make a simple page that brings the focus to the photo and the flowers.
I have cut a flower vine/spray in half and used a piece on either side of my page, twisting it around a small paint brush to give it more life. Here we have a pink apply blossom, new satin rosette in ivory, a pincushion & Black silk flower.
This side of the flower cluster has a ivory camellia as the main flower, a black small heirloom, pink cherry blossom, cream apple blossom and a new azalea in pink, I've also added some skeleton leaves and wire cord that has also been wrapped around a paint brush to make little swirls. I added small dabs of glossy accents to the flowers and sprinkled diamond dust over them.
Some Mesh ribbon has been cut to look like a banner, & my first Charms Creations embellishment.
Memory Maze chipboard frame, was first painted in gesso then sprayed with home made paint sprays in cream, grey & pink then coated in ranger crackle paint.
I little white rose has been made grey with home made paint spray. Memory Maze chipboard banner also treated the same as the frame but instead of the crackle I have drawn stitched on lines.
