"Love & Magic" Reverse Canvas
by Mistra Hoolahan

I sat down to create a  layout to share with you all on the weekend, and created a reverse canvas instead... as you do!  It's funny where your imagination and products will take you.

I had collected a pack of the petals and a mix of roses, as well as some banana leaf fibre paper and that stunning piece of lace... all in those lovely seaglass, turquoise and white tones... my favourite, and then just played and ended up with another item to decorate my studio with!!
Then I adhered a few of the flat petals from the petal pack.  These are such a great quick grab item, 22 petals with different sizes, all in the some colour.  I used white here so that I could spray them with some colour.  I overlapped them and covered most of the background, leaving the fabulous banana leaf fibre to show through in places and then I sprayed with smooch spritz inks to get some amazing colour and shimmer happening
I tucked in some Dusty Attic Flourishes which were painted white and then covered with Fairy Dust Glitter... I love sparkle.
A little quote that means something to me...
I hung a Dusty Attic Birdcage from the lace with some rusted old necklace chain, saves to hold onto those old bits of 'junk', they come in handy!
Ahhh where would we be without the beautiful Green Tara roses!  I have used 3cm, 2cm, 1.5cm and 1cm roses in White, Mint and the new Turquoise.   Some of them were sprayed with Ice Rink Smooch Spritz to give them just the right tonings {and shimmer} to match my background.

I hand painted this little bird I had in my stash with Smooch Ink to match, she was just right sitting with the flowers!
Thanks for visiting, take care and be true to you.  Mis xo

She grabbed a girls plain headband & just went to town with some of the yummy Green Tara pleated ribbon & one of the beautiful NEW "Rain Forest Butterflies". Now Alison always says she is not creative!!!! After seeing this little creation I beg to differ Alison. You have rocked it with this little number. "Easter Egg Haul"
by Geraldine Pasinati

Foil and all!
Hello, Hello! Today I wanted to show you that I've been busy creating  a Vintage  boy layout. I do say busy because, here you can see that the background has been cut into small diamonds and each piece has then been inked and distressed. Add an hour of fussy cutting in as well! The lace has been dyed with coffee to give it an old and aged look.
This photo was taken many years ago,  the first time my son realised that Easter
 (in childrens eyes)
was for recieving and eating chocolates....Foil and all!
Look at the picture below and see how stunning the flowers look....... Dreamy and Amazing!!!
I have used various Green Tara flowers, silver spray leaves and lace.

I'm so glad you dropped by. Stay a while and enjoy the blog as there is some amazing inspiration here.     Till next time! Geraldine.

NEW GREEN TARA FLOWERS
"Angel Wings" by Di Garling

Hello everyone. Today I wanted to show you my layout I have just finished using one of the lovely NEW Green Tara Fabric Flowers. As you can see the one I have used here is the large white one in the centre of my layout with gorgeous pearl stamens. They are a "Velvet Rose" & sized at about 8cm. All the NEW Green Tara fabric flowers arrived here in Australia last Friday. Pop over to the website to check them all out. On my page I have used all flowers from Green Tara, including Velvet Rose, Gardenia, various size roses & rosebuds as well as the NEW wired Velvet Leaves. These leaves are great as you can bend & poke them anyway you like & because there is a wire in them they stay put.

I have also included some beautiful Green Tara Lace along the top edge. They have loads to choose from. We are truly spoilt for choice! I have also tucked one of their little Metal Hearts into the "V" of my layout. I wiped it over with some Gesso first to give it a shabby feel.

They really do have a great assortment of beautiful flowers to choose from. So many gorgeous colours too. Lots of different sizes  & when you are  clustering it is so good to be able to mix & match & put a little bit of each sort in. Don't you agree?

You know all of these flowers I have used here on my layout, & there is a lot, retail for about $9 Australian. I call that great value, & because Green Tara sell most of their flowers singularly, you don't have to purchase entire packets just to get one or two. Very economical from my point of view.
A layout like this would be suitable for  Weddng or Formal photos, most girlie type of photos or else use vintage colours & scrap some of your Grandmothers photos. Too easy.

"Hannah 2007" by Jan Rankine

Hi everyone – my turn to share a page with you this week and as usual I’ve had tremendous fun playing with all the gorgeous Green Tara flowers and ribbons.
I thought black and white would be striking with just a touch of pink for the accent colour.  I've actually used the negative (the leftovers) from a 12" x 12" nested chipboard frame set, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.  You'd never guess this was a throw-away bit!!!
I made the flower in the bottom left hand corner with the Frilled Gingham Ribbon.
Don’t you just love the Herringbone Stripe Ribbon bow at the top of the page.

Cards by Vicky Alberto

1.  For this card, I lightly crackle painted the cage and the bird, inked them and then dressed it all up with a bunch of Green Tara trims (lace, twisted pearl and tassel) and their gorgeous little pink roses. I gently plucked a bit off my daughter's dress-up feather boa when she wasn't looking to adhere to the bird, shhh!
Green Tara Products Used:
Mini Tassel Ribbon 15mm Cream CODE: RB456c
9mm Twisted Organza PearlAntique Pink Ivory CODE: RB6715API
1cm Off White Lace  CODE: L3077OW
1 cm Roses Pale Pink CODE: FDR001PP

2.This card was actually my Valentine's card to my hubby - the papers remind me of our trip to Paris (before having kids :) and the journaling inside is a famous quote from the movie Casablanca "We'll always have Paris". I used twisted organza trim to frame the picture, roses and a snip of lace in the corners too.

  3. For this  card, I used a scallop heart punch to create the folded heart puffy effect. I wove baker's twine around the heart doily and added white roses and and a cream spray.
  4. This card is more suited for a baby shower or young girl. I used rosette and twisted organza trim to make the butterfly, then loaded the corners with pretty roses.

Green Tara products used in last 3 cards:
Lace, 2.5cm White
CODE: L2850W

9mm Twisted Organza Pearl Antique Pink Ivory 20m Roll

"10 Days Old" by JJ Sobey

Hello everyone, just wanted to share this layout with you. I used stencils and mists to give the handmade background paper   a little extra colour.   I also misted the lace (which started out off-white), in both pink and silver mists.  The ivory 'cobweb' trim is its original colour - it was already perfect for the page.

I know I say this every time, but I love, love, love the flowers from Green Tara - lots of dimension and texture without overwhelming the page. (Ivory Gardenia (FDV054Iv5), White Gardenia (FDV054Wh5), Aubergine/White Apple Blossoms (FDV044Au), White Apple Blossoms (FDV044Wh5) )

The small roses come on a wire stem, which I normally trim down.  This time I wrapped a few around a paintbrush handle to make them look like part of the greenery.

I combined a couple of floral sprays with one of the beaded sprays for a little added shimmer."

Green Tara Products Used :

Paper - Handmade mulberry paper (12123DW)L
Lace - 4.8cm Off White (L2976OW)T
Trim - 50mm Cobweb Ivory (RB6772Iv)B
