Jaxon by Di Garling

Hello everyone. This week I thought I would share a "Boy" page with you for a change!!!! I did this page this week for a layout challenge over at "Inspired Blueprints". Great site with fab layout challenges. Go over & have a peek. On this page I have used Green Tara red mesh on the top & bottom of the page, however I have attacked the edges with scissors to make them all rough & not so perfect, then just tucked it in underneath the border punched edges. I am rather pleased with this look as I love this mesh & am always thinking of new things to do with it. It is available in sooo many great colours. Next I have used some of this great new striped ribbon as well as the little black fringing trim, both also from Green Tara. This ribbon comes in two widths, this is the thicker one, there is also a narrower one. I just love the way the stripes go accross instead of just along the ribbon. Makes a nice change, don't you think? Lastly I have used my NEW found, favourite, Green Tara product. This product is Paper String. Really, when I first saw it I thought, yeah, it is just string, big deal. However after playing with it for a while, I absolutely love it. Because it is a paper string it sort of stays where you put it. Hard to explain, but if you have a chance to get your hands on some I suggest you do. Awesome colour range & cheap as chips. It comes in 5m skeins. Here I just used staples to attach it to the page to create my circle.
I have also used a chip Tribal Tattoo which I have given a faux metal paint finish on & some raw wood letters, threw in some stamping & sewing , and hey presto, all finished. Hope this gives you a few ideas. Until next time. Happy scrapping. Di Garling xx

Some Great Cards by Deb Wisinski

"Bride" by Jan Rankine

Guess what? I’ve used Green Tara flowers again on this page – gone a little crazy with the Glimmermist but that’s the beauty of white flowers. The green Buds and Bows ribbon also from Green Tara comes in lots of colours and is one of my favourite things. Chipboard word and window painted and coated with Iridescent Medium added to the visual impact of this page. GT skeleton leaves come in small medium and large but because I always want to be different I wanted mini size, so I cut the bottom off several, scrunched them in at the bottom and attached them behind the flowers with glue.

Children Are Love by Jan Rankine

This was a page I designed for a class at Di’s Scrapbook Shop where I teach. I’ve used my favourite tool i.e. border punches, also sweet little flourish and 3D name tag. These gorgeous petals are Green Tara – I just love this colour. These petals are so affordable and you can do so many different things with them. Here I’ve teamed them with a large size lemon petal that I folded in half and other tiny mini flowers to complete my cluster, finally finishing it off by adding these scrumptious skeleton leaves. How nice do the leaves in this colour look tucked into the cluster with the pale lemon behind them. It really showcases them.

Shabby Chic Di Garling

These are some cards I have made for my April Card Classes at my shop. I have used some great little tags as well as lot of punches & Cuttlebug embossing. The Green Tara products I have used include Rosebuds, which I have inked the edges on so as to cordinate with the colour scheme, Pearl Trim, Ribbons, Fibres & a great mesh that makes the most fabulous bows. This mesh is really soft & very easy to tie a perfect bow with. It comes in several colours, however the neutral one is really great as you can change the colour with Glimmermist, ink, paint etc. I have also used some of these little pre made bows that they also sell. These come in so many colours & if you are not so great at doing bows, these are your answer as they are already done for you. As well as the fact that they are really well priced. Lastly I have some stamping, inking, edge tearing to complete the Shabby Chic Vintage look.
I hope these little cards give you some ideas & maybe a little inspiration. Happy scrapping. Until next time. Di xxx

Beautiful Vases---- Deb Wisinski

This is a project I made for Mothers Day. Three vases to hold flowers from my three boys.

Don't you all just love the flowers they pick with one inch stems??

Deb has used 3 different Silver Sprays and cut the flowers off and attached them to the vases. With the little pearl butterflies "flying" around the vases they look just great.

Beautiful Deb.
