Hello everyone, today I would like to show you a layout I did recently. I have used Kaisercraft Lil’ Primrose papers this month and made this layout a lot differently than my normal style, but I had all these beautiful Green Tara roses that I wanted to use so the new these papers and Green Tara became a perfect match. I have listed below the products I have used , I also added diamond stickles to all of the roses to give them a nice sparkle.

"Scooby Loving Girl" By Linda Thompson

My 5yr daughter is Scooby mad and to make matters worse they only make Scooby boys clothes and toys, so she has been collecting the soft teddies. It was a little confronting to add flowers and ribbons to a somewhat Halloween page but overall I'm happy with the end result as is my daughter who carried the page around for a day lol.

Products Used

String in black - To create the spiders web and spider.

Skeleton leaves in silver - I scrunched these up in my hands to give a warn look.

Gardenias in black - These have been sprayed with a silver glitter Glimmer Mist.

Copper leaves in small

Natural Jute ribbon

Organza Splatter ribbon in blue - Due to having a wire edge it was easy to create a crease in the ribbon to give it a ruffled look.

Organza Stripe in black - Used to create the ribbon flower, pull the wire out of one side of the ribbon completely then with the remaining wire bend one end over so it can't pull thru. Start to pull on the other end of the wire while pushing the ribbon down the wire so that the ribbon begins to gather, once you have it completely gathered you can cut off the excess wire and bend the two ends of the wires together to create a rosette flower.

Hi everyone... today I have a layout of our baby girl... well my son Kellan's bubby girl, but we all adore her! She's the newest addition to our family and as all new babies, she insists on all the attention.

All of the wonderful natural tones that Green Tara goodies offer were perfect for our Sugar girl!!

Some delicate fringed ribbon meandering across the page, frilled gingham ribbon tucked in under torn edges...

Banana leaf paper was scrunched up and placed under the photo matt to create a soft layer...

A cluster of Green Tara Roses, one of the 1cm ones was sprayed with Smooch Spritz to change the colour...

The Coloured Jute Ribbon ties into a bow beautifully, soft enough to get just the right shape, but firm enough to hold its shape once there...

The middle flower above was made from 5 of the white petals, sprayed with water, touched with stains and then scrunched up, unraveled and the layers glued together to form a full flower...

"Enjoy the Moments" by Vicky Alberto

Hello everyone, here is another layout I have done recently. This one features yours truly. The papers are Bo Bunny (Timepiece Collection) and I used a few Dusty Attic chipboard pieces as well. I made the pretty flowers by simply layering some white Green Tara flower petals and a bit of lace, then added some bling on top. I inked the edges of the flowers too.
Journaling on the back reads: "This is me 3 years ago, the last time I didn't mind being photographed. As the years go by it is inevitable that more lines start appearing on our faces. I'd like to say that I have more laugh lines now... but the truth is the frown lines seem to be more prominent. My motto for 2012 is more laugh lines, less frown lines. This means some changes in my lifestyle will need to occur. I don't do well with change - but life is too short to not have the time to truly enjoy the moments that make you smile".

For my first post this year I'm showing a layout full of

Green Tara combined mixed stems and flowers that

have been sprayed with Glimmer mist. I decided to go

with a darker palette for this layout to give a more

masculine look to the layout - I have to please my

son in the photo as well as the daughter! The colour range

and various styles in Green Tara flowers are diverse,

although if you cannot get the perfect colour match

simply glimmer mist or ink.

"A Mothers Love" by Di Garling

Hello everyone. Today I wanted to show you a layout I have just finished where I have used lots of yummy Green Tara flowers that all started their life as WHITE flowers. With the aid of lots of Glimmermist I have changed them all to various shades of purples & reds. All of these various flowers, sprays & leaves come in lots & lots of different colours, but if you haven't got just the right shade you are looking for, go for white & colour it up yourself. Too easy. In amongst my flower clusters, if you look closely, you will see some gorgeous "decorative sprays" in peacock. These are just devine. They add a little touch of bling & give off lots of different colours so they match most things while adding some sparkle & shine. I usually break them up & just use a little here & there which makes them even more cost effective. I think you will find they are already very well priced as are most of the Green Tara products.

This layout is of my sons during a camping trip in the mountains two years ago. There is a mix of Pion Design papers, Dusty Attic and Tattered Angels Chipboard, plus I've layered some gorgeous Green Tara flowers on this page. Sometimes on a boy layout, a little "flowering" goes a long way. Here I have used two layers of the new Green Tara white petals a cream cherry blossom to create each of the flowers. This a was a fun project that I stumbled across. I was searching for a kid's craft project (www.busybeecrafts.com) when I found this cute little sleigh template that I just had to try out for myself. I slightly modified their template (enlarged the template and put a deeper curve) & used some Green Tara metallic swirl embellies. Hey presto. Finished.

Just wanted to share this layout with you. Details below :-

"The silver rose leaves were misted with green glimmermist and the red and purple gardenias received a generous helping of glimmer glam.

These sprays with the dark iridescent beads were really cool - so easy to get them to sit where you want because they are wired.

I cut apart a second spray to place around the flower clusters. No problem doing this, as the beads are individually wired, so they won't come off if you cut part of the stem.

Silver Swirl Gift Card Holder by JJ Sobey

Hello everyone. Today I would like to share three projects with you. For my first project, I used a silver swirl as a gift card holder. I used the silver metallic swirls for this.

There's a shot without the gift card. I misted the entire tag with Sea Glass glimmer mist, then used screens from the Tattered Angels Vintage Seasons Winter Trees set, and misted with Mallard and Midnight Blue glimmer mists. I then added some stamped images (Chillin’ and Tattered Textures sets). The Mistables crepe ribbon is from the Rockin’ Renaissance set and was misted with Mallard and Midnight Blue mists. The entire tag received a coat of Chandelier Glam.
The Green Tara tassel trim started out cream, but was misted with glimmer mist (Mallard).
These swirls were perfect for holding a gift card in place!
This blue/silver beaded stem adds some sparkle and texture:
The blue (Gardenia) and teal (apple blossom) flowers started out white and were customized with glimmer mist. The ivory flower is it's original colour.

Christmas Ball by JJ Sobey

All this sparkle made me think of decorations for the tree, so my next project was a Christmas ball. I started with a clear glass ornament, coated it with clear gesso, and a couple of coats of Glimmer Glam (Jolly Old Elf). Once it was all dry, I added red metallic swirls, using Fabri-Tac as an adhesive. You definitely want a strong liquid adhesive for this project, as the swirls want to snap back to their original shape rather than curve around the ball.
To finish off the ornament, I wrapped gold bead trim around the base, and tied an extra loop of it for hanging. I adhered the bead trim with Glue Dot - Glue Lines, as they are quite strong, and a little less fussy than a liquid adhesive.

Not only do I love Green Tara flowers, but I adore all their trims and laces, my work never feels complete without some of it somewhere on a page!
Here I wanted lots and lots of layers, paper, trim, tickets, flowers, loads of layers!! I have created flower clusters using Roses, Petals and Silver Sprays over top of ruffles of trim, and have tucked in little bits of lace here and there, the white trim and lace helps soften the papers and create a soft grungy effect.

Hello everyone. Today I thought I would show you some Christmas Cards I made this month. I have used a lovely white & silver Alison Ellis foil paper & I have teamed them up with several yummy ribbons, trims & various other little bits, all from Green Tara of course. All of these cards were rather simple little cards but by using WOW factor papers & ribbons etc it just creates a bit of WOW factor with very little effort. Hello – this week I wanted to share this page & a card with you that I did recently. I’ve used four lovely Green Tara ribbons, teamed with lots of GT flowers. I particularly love the little flowers with the Swarovski crystal centres mixed in to my flower cluster. I think they just set it off. These little crystal flowers come in several colours.

These are my latest favourite GT product. I think these colours would have also gone well with a vintage photo, might do one of those next time. This time I’ve chosen to go modern. These ribbons I think work with both, don’t you?

I have been waiting a long time to scrap this photo then... when I saw these gorgeous Glitz Design papers and combined them with a generous amount of Green Tara embellishments, I knew I finally had the right things for this layout. This is a picture of my first son and I, the day after he was born. I was still really pale after an emergency c-section (he was nice and pink though, LOL). There is so much Green Tara goodness on this layout (product descriptions below). The papers and embellishments were truly worth waiting for to scrap this picture. I am in love with the thick white lace and silk flowers with crystals on this layout!

PAPER HOUSE TREAT BOX

My inspiration for this treat box came from cupcake boxes that I saw on Amazon.com made by Meri Meri. Then, I remembered seeing many people doing birdhouse boxes using milk carton style dies or downloadable files (many companies make these) last Spring. Since it is a simple box concept, I decided to make my own "template" so I could share it with you.

I used the Gorgeous Pion Design "Waiting for Santa" papers and some amazing Green Tara Christmas embellies (supply list below) to create this. In addition to the instructions provided below, I added a hanging gift tag (using a scallop circle and hole punch), a second roof layer (deco scissored edges) and glued part of the striped paper to make the window trim.

(click on diagram above to enlarge). I don't own a score board yet (on my Christmas wish list) so I just measured and folded on the edge of my paper cutter. I kept the dimensions as easy as possible for a 12x12 sheet. This can actually be made with one sheet of double sided paper if you'd like. It is a good size to fill with treats and stands about 5 inches tall.

Hi everyone, here's my first project as part of the Gree Tara Design Team.

For this assignment I was asked to feature red and gold embellishments in a Christmas theme. I decided that they would really pop if I backed them with kraft papers - so that's what I did. I fell in love with the 38mm Mesh with the gold filaments - so easy to use for boy or girl pages:

I layered a few trims and embellishments here. The red 9mm Shimmer Threaded Ribbon added a little more colour, while the gold Xmas Bouquet a little extra dimension, without being 'in-your-face-shiny'.

I wasn't sure at first what I should do with the Bead Garland, then it hit me that it looks a lot like some of the crystal flourishes on the market these days - which led me to adhere it in flourish shapes using micro Glue Dots.

These Wire Stars are so unusual - I've never seen embellishments quite like these. I love them! They also come in other colours and in heart shape as well. I used Craft Glue Dots to adhere them, which worked like a charm. You can kinda see the Glue Dot in this close-up, but that's because it's larger than 'life-size'. When you look at the project as a whole, you really don't notice the adhesive."

These paper leftovers from my previous layout were staring me down, so I decided to make them happy and give them a home in a Christmas card. ;) Of course, I used more Green Tara goodies to complete it.

This Satin trim begs to be used on greeting cards - it's perfect for cards that have to be mailed because it doesn't add a lot of bulk. (The shapes are pretty cute, too)

After using some of the wire stars, I was looking for an opportunity to use the Wire Heart, and it fitted perfectly with the sentiment on the die cut."

I have used Prima papers which I have machine stitched around the edges, I have also used Dusty Attic Corner Scroll #2 which I have painted and covered with UTEE, I scratched around the edge of the photo to make it have an old fashioned feel to it. Using white cardstock and 2 colours of gingham frill I created matching embellishments by choosing white products and colourng them with glimmer mist. Use a paint brush with glimmer mist to colour smaller areas

This is a favourite Christmas photo of mine... our Christmas tree and decorations. We have a huge tree the goes from floor to ceiling, but because of a cheeky puppy and curious cats we need to have all the gifts raised up off the floor. So a table is set up in front with a cute little tree on top and loads of homemade decorations on the table... I love the festive look of it!

I have used one of my favourite Christmas ranges here, Wassail by Basic Grey. I have saved what I had left of this from previous years for something special, and when all the wonderful Christmas Embellishments arrived from Green Tara I knew it was time to use them!

Alison sent these very cute glittery swirls to use, and I couldn't wait to use them on this layout because the shape was so festive, but my paper colours were so muted. So I set and covered them with impasto, added some alcohol inks and them some glitter to help them blend with the paper, leaving the shimmer of metallic through the impasto, but the wonderful design wasn't lost!

I am loving having a beautiful model to scrap lately and the Green Tara Flowers, Sprays and Trims were so perfect for these papers and for her!
I wanted to have lots of soft edges, so have used some Lace and Gingham Frill underneath my scallop punched borders to add lovely soft texture. I love the contrast of the pale tones with the black embellishments and the little sparkle from the Swarovski Crystals in the Silk Flowers.

What better embellishment is there to set off these new "Beautiful Dreamer" Papers from Glitz than Green Tara Roses, Leaves and Silver Sprays!! The flowers were the perfect tones of pinks and white. The new white maple leaves tuck in and soften the look of the chipboard. The Silver Spray added a perfect balance with it's delicate bling! I trimmed the spray so that I used small parts of it to pop in under the flower clusters.

This year has been really busy for me with moving house and working at shows and retreats from Victoria to WA, but recently I got to relax at a scrap camp and get a bit creative. My project is a 12x12 canvas, I have used loads of Green Tara flowers.

"Just Because" by Di Garling

Hello everyone. Today I thought I would show you a page I did recently using lots of lovely Green Tara flowers. On this page I have used the Green Tara Gardenias in pink & white & I have sprayed the white ones with some yellow Glimmermist. That is the great thing about white flowers, you can make them any colour you like. Next I have used a Green Tara Aqua Flower Spray as well as some of their gorgeous roses in both pink & aqua. I have brushed some Glimmer Glaze onto all of the flowers to give them some sparkle as well as applying "Diamond Dust" to the edges of the pink Gardenias. These are all so well priced compared to some of the more expensive brands & I think they look equally as good for a fraction of the cost. Lastly I have finished off my flower clusters with some little green leaves, also from Green Tara. I have also used some very yummy lace which is also one of the many in their huge range. So many to choose from, we are all spoilt for choice. I hope this gives you a few ideas for using our lovely products. Until next time. Cheers Di xx

Hi there... Mistra here with my first Green Tara 'post', how exciting!!

I created this mixed media canvas on the weekend while I waiting on another to dry! There are many so many fun layers on the canvas; Donna Salazar Antiquities PP, Dress Pattern Tissue, 7 Gypsies Tissue, vintage doilies nicked from mum, paint, impasto, many sprays, Dusty Attic chipboard and all topped off always beautiful Green Tara Roses and Lace!

I adore these roses, there's always just the right size available to pop in and add that extra special touch. What better than roses to soften cogs and gears and lace always creates a perfect skirt for a dress form!

I nipped the wire off these and glued them right onto the canvas, tucked in one of the gorgeous Green Tara paper leaves and gave them all a light dry brush of Gesso to blend them all in together. The Green Tara Lace was given a light spray of gold shimmer to 'age' it ever so slightly. They were the perfect finish for the canvas!

Hello everyone. Today I thought I would show you all this Shadow Box I did recently. I have used Green Tara Petals in Lime & I have made the flower centers using Green Tara Paper String. I just curled it up into a spiral onto some plastic, using glue & when dry I simply trimmed the plastic back so that you can't see it. I think this a great idea for flower centers. I have also scattered around some tiny brown rosebuds & mini flowers, also from Green Tara. Next I used the Paper String to create this flourish along the bottom of the frame. Lastly I have added some Green Tara Mesh Ribbon tucked in behind the petals to finish it off. Until next time.

"Two for the Boys" by Di Garling

Hello everyone. Today I thought I would show you some "boy" layouts I did recently using some Green Tara products. Both of these layouts have a touch of "grunge" with lots of paint etc. In this first one, "Those Eyes", I have used two different colours of Green Tara paper string to create a circle around the photo, I have simply stapled it to my page. Secondly I have inserted Green Tara mesh underneath the first layer of white card so that it is just peeking out. Both the paper string & the mesh come in several colours.

In this second layout, "Our Beau" I have again used Green Tara mesh down the left side. I firstly attacked the edge of the mesh with my scissors to rough it up a little & then I tucked it in underneath the edge of the papers & pics. This mesh works really well on all types of layouts & cards but I particularly like it on boy orientated projects. I hope this gives you a few ideas.

Hello everyone. Today I would like to show you a page I designed recently for a class I taught over at Di's Scrapbook Shop at The Entrance. I have been wanting to do a black & white colour scheme for ages, & this is what I came up with. I have used Green Tara little flowers in two sizes, layered up along the bottom of the page. Then I used larger 4cm size black flower petals which I have sandwiched in between two other flowers that I stamped onto cardstock & cut out, creating a triple layer. I think the Green Tara flowers work well with this type of design. It is good to use flowers in different ways just for a change. For my stems I have used the Green Tara paper string. This comes in several colours. On this layout I have also used some Green Tara silver metal flowers as centres for my larger flowers as well as scattering a few around the page. Creating Your Own Flowers Tutorial

Hello everyone. Tonight I would like to share a simple little way to alter your flowers to make them look a bit different. I am going to make a card & I don't have the right sort of flower so I thought I would make my own. For this flower you need 2 large size Green Tara flowers, one Green Tara Cherry Blossom (for the centre), an ink pad & a stamp of your choice.

Next stamp the petals with a good quality ink in a random fashion. You don't have to be to fussy as the petals won't be flat like this when you finish. The trick to making the finished flower look good is to have one petal facing up & one facing down when you stamp. (If you look closely at the photo below you will see how one of the petals curves up & one curves down).

Now glue the one that curves up, on top of the one that curves down, making sure to offset the petals. Lastly glue the small Cherry Blossom flower into the middle to create a nice flower centre.

Here you have the finished flower. Doesn't it look great & it is a fraction of the cost of some of the well known brands. Have fun experimenting with your stamps & our great Green Tara flowers & see what you can come up with. If you have done something creative with our flowers & petals we would love to see them. We are looking for creative, inspiring and original designs, especially those featuring ribbons & flowers. Whether it be Scrapbooking, Card-Making, Off-the-Page or Invitation making, we are happy to look at your work and consider you for our team.

We will provide you with product samples and in return each design team member is required to submit 2 designs per month. From time to time you will be asked to do a project that involves specified items.

Hello everyone. Sorry we haven't posted for a few days but the dreaded winter flu has been around. Today we thought we would share some fabulous cards that Alison made over the weekend. She has used lots of different Green Tara ribbons. If you look on the website you will see these ribbons come in loads of various colours. On the Wedding & Anniversary cards Alison has used "Pearl & C rystal Dragonflies. Also on the Wedding card she has used some small silk flowers & these actually have a crystal in the centre. Hello everyone. Today I would like to show you a page I did recently using the fabulous NEW Cobweb mesh that Green Tara have. It comes in several colours & it just has so many uses. On this page & I have just gathered it up & fastened it with some oversize cross stitches. I think it makes a great embellishment for a boy page & just adds that extra bit of texture. Hello everyone. Today I thought I would show you a page I did recently using a rather dramatic colour scheme. Yellow & Black. I think it is a real impact colour duo. Anyway I have used some great Green Tara yellow petals as well as the Green Tara black Rosebuds for centres. Also I have added some slightly smaller black rosebuds scattered around the flower cluster for impact. Today I thought I would show you some cards I have made for an upcoming class I am doing at my shop, & guess what, they just so happen to have these beautlful Green Tara ribbons on them. Green Tara have got all these fab NEW ribbons in so many new colours, it is hard to decide which one to use.These spotty ones I just adore & it is a bonus that they are double sided, which actually gives you two different colour ways to choose from. They have some with sequins some with a fine wire edge which are great not only for doing bows but also are great for making flowers with. I started out a stamper, then grew to be a scrapper and now am an avid card-maker and I can't seem to stop!
My favorite Green Tara products (at the moment) would have to be the roses and rosebuds. They are fantastic as centers for the Green Tara flowers or on their own as embellishments (I have a multitude of examples on my blog!)
As far as making them unique to you and/or your project - there are many ways to use them. For this card I have gently traced areas with clear drying glue with a thin nozzle and the dipped them in glitter. I have also had great results spraying them with coloursprays, dunking them in colored embossing powders, coating them completely in clear thick embossing enamels, sprinkling them with micro-beads; and mixing the techniques together!
I urge you to think not just what you could use the beautiful roses and buds on, but what you can do with them in the process!

I wanted to share this card with you today. I've used the fabulous black and gold pre-tied bows (a must if you are all thumbs and your hand-tied bows never look right like mine don't!!); an ivory cherry blossom; and some of the new twisted organza pearl in ivory.

I started with my black card base, added a background panel of embossed and inked cardstock. Stamped, punched, and inked my verse; Gathered my doily, ribbon, and flower - inked with Vintage Photo Distress ink; and arranged them on the card. After inking my lamp post I adhered
it to the card and finished it off with the black bow.

One of the best things about the Green Tara products is the ability to make them fit any project with the least amount of effort! Add a bit of distress ink to flowers and ribbons and they can perfectly match any project!

Hello everyone. Today I would love to share with you this page I did recently. I have used the Green Tara Gardenias which were white & I have Glimmermisted them this great orange colour to match my page. I have also used some Green Tara white Roses which I have coated in "Diamond Dust" to give them some sparkle & glam. Next I used some Green Tara Paper String to tie my bow. I also used some WOW chippies, a couple of great border punches, stamped & heat embossed some butterflies & then cut them out & hey presto, all done. I hope this page gives you a few ideas for using our fab flowers. They really are so well priced, especially if you are watching your scrapping dollars. Can't go past these for impact & price. Hello everyone. Today I would like to share this very "girly" page with you. I have used lots of yummy Green Tara flowers which I have Glimmermisted, inked & used some Irredescent Medium on to alter them slightly. I have also used some of their white leaves, bows & I have tied a bow using three strands of their Paper String. Underneath the photo I have also used some of their beautiful laces & some "Bud & Bow" trim. Lastly I have completed my cluster with some terrific Green Tara Metal hearts. I just love these. I simply pulled the wire on one side of the ribbon to gather it up & tied it off & then just stuck it onto the page with a couple of glue dots. "New Ribbons Showcased" by Di Garling

Hello again everyone. I was speaking to Mr & Mrs Green Tara (Alison & Mark) last night & they suggested I show you some of the yummy NEW wire edged ribbons, so I have made four VERY quick & simple cards just to show you a few ideas on ways to use these. They have a very fine wire edging on both sides which just makes them so terrific to work with. When you tie a bow you can bend & mould it into shape so easily as the wire edging is so fine. These big bows look fab as part of a flower cluster on a page or a card. Also if you look closely at the blue flower on the card you will see it is made from this same wired edge ribbon. The great thing about making a flower from this ribbon is that when you have finished making the flower you can then poke & tweek it into shape & because of the wire edging it actually stays where you push it. This was so easy to create. I hope this gives you a few ideas & I hope you enjoyed having a little peek at some of the other lovely Green Tara ribbons in these pics. Until next time. Cheers Di xx

Hello again everyone. Today I thought I would show you some cards I made for a class at my shop this month. I have gone with a Black, Gold & Cream theme. I have used some of the Green Tara Rosebuds in two different sizes , some mini daisies & also my favourite Gardenias. All of these flowers come in many different colours. I have also used a lovely Green Tara Black Flower Trim as well as some of their tiny little pre made bows.I love these little bows as you don't have to tie them yourself!! That has to be a plus. I have added tiny pearls to the centres of the mini daisies to give them a bit of wow factor. On the big Gardenia I gave it a light coat of "Irredescent Medium" to give it a bit of shimmer. I have also used WOW chipboard mini card words which I have either painted or heat embossed. Until next time. Cheers Di x

It is with great sadness that we let you know that Lyn Senior passed away last night after a short illness.

Many of you will have met Lyn or spoken to her over the phone.

Lyn was not only a valuable member of Green Tara she was also a close friend, and many a night was spent with her trying to teach Alison the finer details of Mahjong.

She will be remembered for her bright sunny attitude, smiles, laughter and singing around the warehouse. We will miss her dearly.

Hello everyone. It is that time again when we post something NEW using our favourite Green Tara goodies to give you some ideas. Today we have this really sweet little page by Angela Peardon. Angela has used our NEW Cherry Blossom flowers. These are available in fourteen different colours, so you are sure to find one to match whatever you may be working on. She has also used two of our great NEW ribbons. Firstly the check one which by the way comes already gathered for you & is available in four different colours. As well as the check ribbon Angela has used another NEW ribbon. She has used our NEW wavy ribbon. A bit different to Ric Rac & so much nicer. This ribbon too is available in seven different colours. Lastly Angela has used to great effect one of the Green Tara Flower Sprays. Angela has kept it white, however these come up well with a quick spray of Glimmermist & hey presto you can have whatever colour you need! Hello again everyone. Today I thought I would share this boy page with you. I have used this great Green Tara lime green mesh across the lower section of my page. This mesh is lovely & soft & is very easy to work with. It also comes in so many great colours. Also on this page I have used my favourite "paper string". I just keep finding new things to do with this stuff. On this page I have used it, along with some fibers, to tie on my little banners, as well as to tie it in with more fibers on the tag underneath the edge of the photo. Lastly I have glued another piece to my page to create this little swirly "thing a ma jig". This paper string comes in so many great colours & it is so cheap, that has to be a bonus. Until next time.

Hello everyone. Today I thought I would share this page I designed for a class I was teaching recently. It is such a pretty photo I think it deserved a very feminine layout to show it off. I have used a lovely lace from Green Tara, of course. I have glued it around the edge of the heart shape which is tucked in behind the photo. This lace is a sweet row of little diasies. I have also used my favourite Green Tara "Gardenias". These flowers are a really good size. They are a bit bigger than the original "Apple Blossoms". Actually they have just released them in a whole lot of NEW colours. These are so well priced when compared to a lot of other flowers in the market place. So if your budget is a bit tight these are a good buy. I still like the white ones as you can Glimmermist them to whatever colour you like which is what I have done here. Lastly I have tucked a few pink rosebuds in for good measure. I hope this page gives you a little inspiration. Until next time. Jan xx

"Butterflies & Blooms" Cards by Di Garling

Hello everyone. Today I thought I would share some cards with you that I made recently for a class at my shop. I have chose these fab Allison Ellis Mauve & Silver Foil papers & I have teamed them with lots of yummy Green Tara petals, flowers & leaves. I have also used a butterfly themed stamp set. To finish the look I have used Green Tara ribons & fibers as well as lots of Border Punches. I have inked most of the edges of the flowers with a mauve ink to carry the theme colour throughout. Next I have applied a coat of "Irredescent Medium" to all the flowers & leaves to give them some shimmer. Then I have applied some "Diamond Dust" to the edges of the Gardenias (they are the crinkley ones), this really adds some sparkle.
These cards are all relatively simple cards but by using such nice products that all blend well together, the look has greater impact. I hope these give you a few ideas for your cards. Until next time. Cheers Di

New Ribbons Just Arrived

Fabulous new ribbons hot on to the shelves this week.

From the top.....

Cobweb.... If you like the Green Tara mesh, we think you will love this! Wider than the mesh (50mm) it has a more random weave and can be used on many different projects. We will get the Design Team to work asap!!

Gingham Frill...This funky gingham trim is gathered onto elastic and makes a great edging on your scrapbooking projects! Available in 4 colours.

Wave....Although this trim resembles ric-rac it is actually ribbon that has been twisted and sewn into a wave pattern.

7 x 2 Tone colours available.

Organza Stripe....These ribbons are clear organza decorated with stripes of colour. Also wire edged but again you can remove the wire if you like. Try getting different effects by using different colours underneath.

Organza Splatter....This is an organza ribbon with blobs of colour that look like they've been flicked on by a paintbrush. It is sheer and you can create some wonderful effects depending on the colour you use underneath. It is wire edged but for a flatter effect, it is easy to pull the wire out. Great for invitations and cards!
